Falcon Field Airport is soaring to new heights with Falcon 7 development
The City of Mesa, Falcon 7 LLC and Grubb & Ellis are pleased to announce
the long-term lease of the 14 acres located at the northwest corner of
McKellips Road and Falcon Drive. More than 230,000 square feet of
executive/corporate hangar space with attached offices are the focus of
Falcon 7's development of the property commonly referred to as "the water
tower" property.
Falcon 7 recognized the growth and demand for additional aviation
facilities in the area and will be concentrating on fulfilling the needs of
the Airport. According to Managing Partner, John Manross of Falcon 7, "We
are very excited to bring new development that is in demand to Falcon Field
Airport and further expand its aviation community." Alan House, Partner of
Falcon 7, also comments "We feel that our companies, iPlan, iBuild and
iDevelopment will continue to grow because of the City of Mesa and
Councilmember Rex Griswold's commitment to Falcon Field Airport."
"This development signals that Falcon Field is becoming a major job
provider for the East Valley, which has accelerated with the completion of
the new 202 Freeway," said Griswold.
Falcon Field Airport Director Corinne Nystrom states, "The Falcon 7
project will not only help to address the demand for additional hangar space
and lower the number of people on our hangar waiting list, but will generate
additional revenue for the airport and provide a sustainable, positive
economic impact on Falcon Field Airport and the City of Mesa. " It is
anticipated that the project will also generate over 100 new jobs in the
area.
Falcon Field Airport is located between McKellips and McDowell Roads and
Greenfield and Higley Roads with convenient access to the Red Mountain 202
Freeway less than 1-mile away. Falcon Field Airport ranks 3rd in terms of
economic impact among Arizona airports, behind Phoenix Sky Harbor
International Airport and Tucson International Airport and ranks among the
"top 10" in the nation for general aviation airports in terms of based
aircraft and number of flight operations.
The Falcon 7 development will be available to firms and individuals in
need of hangar space. If interested in this development, please call Alan
House at 480/980-0787. For information about the additional 80 acres
available for lease for development at Falcon Field Airport, contact Mike
